YTT 200hrs in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
June 21 - July 17, 2024
Training with Integrity.
Our teacher training program has been designed for its rigor, scope, and integrity. Amidst the tranquility of Asturias´s natural landscape, the environment of your training alone may inspire an inner experience of yoga and the impetus for the experience to be shared.
- Our mission is to provide students with an outstanding 200hr YTT program, that is altogether comprehensive, interactive and personally meaningful for each participant.
- Our curriculum centres on teaching yoga through the framework of classical Ashtanga (“8- limbs”) Yoga, and the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series. With an emphasis on effective hands-on assists and alignment, classical yoga philosophy, anatomy, pranayama and meditation, this course requires the constancy of abhyāsa – sustained practice– on the part of each student, so that the large spectrum of content which will be delivered over the month may be assimilated and may endure.
-
Our commitment is towards the facilitation of students’ genuine yoga experience; the development of safe technical skills and practical teaching methodology; and the pursuit of knowledge in the areas of classical yoga, its major philosophical influences and history. Teachers will be providing one-on-one engagement on site, as well as personalized attention between modules as required, in order to review and respond to homework assignments or other course related queries on behalf of each student.
Upon successful completion and demonstration of the curriculum set here, students will receive the credential to register as a 200 hour yoga teacher (RYT) approved by Yoga Alliance.

Our teacher training programs are limited to 12 participants.

Food at Asturias Yoga
We provide 3 vegetarian meals per day: breakfast, lunch and a light dinner. We do our best to source our vegetables locally according to the season, use primarily organic and vegan ingredients, and provide many home-made specialties, such as sourdough breads, spicy chai, nettle pesto, mountain spring water, fresh herbs for infusions, and marmelades from our fruit trees. Meals are designed for a nutritionally balanced diet, with foods that are easy to digest, grow in a sustainable way and full of vitality.
If you are someone who traditionally has a large appetite or prefers multiple snacks throughout the day, you may also bring your own food/snacks to supplement. The closest large supermarkets are in Cangas de Onis or Posada, both approximately 20km away. There are various smaller shops nearby in Benia (2km from the yoga center) and at the “Campsite Picos de Europa” (1km down hill from the yoga center).
